Extra Line After Some Footnotes
Okay, I've noticed this behaviour in Logos for some time in a number of Bibles. It is not a big thing but it bugs me because I see it so often. Occasional I've reported it as a typo as it doesn't appear correctly to me.
It seems to only happen after a footnote at the end of a line when the text is in narrower margins. Below is an example from the NET Bible in Psalm 89. When I select the text I can't find an extra space but certainly the appearance isn't right and I'd love to see this eliminated in Logos.
I'm guessing that it has something to do with the formatting. Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

Here are another couple of examples from the same chapter. I'm guessing that the footnote impinges on the margin which pushes the space to the next line. I realize that the footnote needs to stay with the word this it is referring to but I think that, in cases like this, the better behaviour would be to have the word with the footnote drop down to the next line in order to eliminate the blank line appearing in the middle of the verse.

We have a bug tracking this issue in our text display engine. (It doesn't only happen after footnotes, but it does happen most often in text with short line widths, e.g., Hebrew poetry.) The only workaround right now is to make the panel wide enough that it no longer happens.

Bradley, thanks for confirming that you are addressing this issue. It is not the end of the world to have an extra line here and there but it is sort of annoying. I've seen it in a number of resources for a long time. I used to report them as "typos" although I knew that it wasn't a typo. Finally I decided to create a post about this.
I realized that it only seemed to be an issue with narrower margins and that it could be avoided by widening those margins. Unfortunately for me, I really want to keep those narrower margins to fit by standard layout. I also find it much easier to read for the same reasons why newspapers have narrow margins.

Just so you don't have false expectations... Bradley is not confirming that the issue is being addressed. He is confirming it's an issue that we are aware of. There isn't currently any information on when or if this issue will be fixed.

Thanks for clarifying this Andrew. When I mentioned that the issue was "being addressed" I wasn't thinking that the problem was being actively pursued but rather that you at least knew that it existed and perhaps would some day be fixed. (I choose to be optimistic [:)])
I trust Faithlife to prioritize how to allocate their limited resources to the issues that are the most important and I realize that this would not be at the top of that list.
