PLEASE Do not clutter Ads

First, I want to thank FL for at least allowing us to remove most ads from our Home Page.
Second, and I do not personally under why any one would want them cluttering their Home Page, but, I do understand some people do. So, allowing people to keep or remove is good.
Third, I have been using the phrase "Most of them", because most of the ads disappear. However, when I added FL Blog, because FL uses the blog to sneak ads in, as well as articles, it becomes annoying receiving ads in my "Bible".

I have discussed this issue for a decade now. I personally do not find ads in my "Bible" appropriate. That is what email is for. NOT my "Bible". I may be in a minority here, I may be in the majority. I do find it extremely inappropriate. I do, once again, understand some people might want them, so, the customization flexibility is great.
And to those reading, please keep in mind this is in regards to the FL Blog (and other sneak ins, NOT the areas where ads can be unticked, in the options list). I happen to find value in the FL Blogs, but, find it far from appropriate to include ads there. For some reason, I feel Jesus might whip them out. That's a personal opinion, not a judgment, not a "this is how it is" type statement. But PLEASE understand some of us do get offended that they get "snuck in", because we do find it extremely inappropriate.

So, the suggestion is, can we somehow not use the FL Blogs to advertise, or find a way to eliminate the ads in the FL Blogs. Perhaps a sub category that allows us to tick and untick Articles and then ad-themed articles.

That's an interesting problem, Batman.

I personally agree ... Bible is Bible. Well, maybe. Recently, our pastor learned he could earn extra money by slipping advertisements into his sermons. And it certainly makes sense .. you know, the ox need to be fed thing. Every time he does an advertisement, everyone smiles ... less money to have to give!! Let the ox feed himself! I'm joking.

The blog, though, is curious. I've been a big critic of FL being totally unable to market themselves. It's like they row their boat with the wrong end of the paddle. The blog is the only place I've seen where they finally chat about Logos hidden features, unknown resources, and how to get started (often some bucks).

I'm not sure the solution.

Oy vey! I'd have to run away. I know churches have to make money; but, really? ads?
Tim Hawkins had a funny set; advertisers in hymns. Ford, I lift your name on high, and so on. Sadly, Im wondering if he was joking. It may actually be reality! [+o(]

I get it. They want to be a business first, make money first, and then a ministry. And while that goes against everything *I* believe, just like the Levites, those in ministry and what not do deserve to make money.
To keep everything above board, so it won't shut down.
To stay alive, pay them for their work.
To pay for new materials/upgrades (within reason) and new discoveries, etc.
But, I still have a hard time seeing God's word as a for huge profit company. It's not something WE created, but God created. So, I always think of Simon the sorcerer who "did also believe" but also thought he could as Peter says “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.The Holy Bible: Today’s New International Version. (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2005), Ac 8:20–21. I sometimes think we cross the line between running a ministry and buying/selling the gift of God.
I am happier to say I have grown some over the past 9-10 years, and I can, not judge. (poor grammar, I think; maybe just awkward).
