Highlighting Logos App(s) using iPad Pro
I think the highlighting feature was recently changed and now I get a pop-up box that the font is so small my eyes can barely read the different options/choices. The previous menu was easy to read. Is there a way to increase the font size in tne pop-up box so I can see the various choices to highlight in. Thank you for your assistance with this.
if there is not a way to increase the font, is there a way I can revert back to the previous highlighting menu ?

Yes, I think I can send a screenshot, but I don’t know where to look to see which Mobile App I’m using.
Sorry, Alabama 24 it’s been too long since I posted a screenshot & I don’t remember the steps to insert it in the post. (I have the screenshot taken in my photos App, but how to insert it in the post I don’t remember the How to Steps.)

Tell me it isn’t so!

Yes, that’s what mine looked like previously. I always do the App Updates, but this is the first time it has changed the highlighting feature. The new font is terribly small—can barely see what to Touch especially when using Editing Note. It must be even smaller on a regular iPad (I have the 12.9" iPad Pro)
Thank you Denise.

Is it following the custom font-sizes set in iOS (in Settings under General -> DIsplay & Brightness -> Text Size)?

If you were seeing what Denise showed in her screenshot, that can't be quite true. The change as shown happened well more than a year ago!
Some thoughts:
- I like the new system generally better than the old, but...
- It is smaller than the old way, and...
- It isn't as easy to tell which style you are using.

alabama24, honestly this week has been the first time the highlighting changed. Could this mean there is some bug in my iPad? My email hasn’t been working properly for awhile either.

If you are positive that your app looked like what Denise showed, than it has been at least a year since your app was updated. What does that mean?

Maybe, but...
My email hasn’t been working properly for awhile either.
Is it possible you were in Airplane mode?

I found the release notes page. The last version of the old app was released in October 2018 (so about a year).

I update my Apps every day & sometimes twice a day if needed.
No, not in Airplane mode. Its like the emails are bogged down & can’t download, but this isn’t all the time—it occurs at different times during the day or evening. Now when it happens then I use my iPhone 7+ to check my emails & then the emails download lickety-split..using Wi-Fi on each device.

Arguing about how long ago the font size in the pop up was changed is a useless sidetrack.
Can we not just all agree that the new font size is too small and ask Logos to boost it a bit. I agree that this is a problem. I haven';t brought it up becaue i have poor eyesight and figured it was just too small for me, but it seems even alabama24 agrees the size is too small. This should be an easy tweak for Logos..

On the contrary!
As someone trying to assist the user, I don't know if something has changed with her system, if there is a bug, or if she really did update very recently from a 6.x to an 8.x build! Can we not just all agree that the new font size is too small and ask Logos to boost it a bit
I sent an email to the lead developer.it seems even alabama24 agrees the size is too small
Actually I don't, but I am sensitive to this issue. I have GREAT eyesight (just proved by the optometrist!), but about five years ago I had an employer that required me to use a windows device. The menu text on the screen gave me headaches!0 -
Thank you John, the font is definitely too small and an extreme decrease in size from previous version.
Although it has been quite awhile ago alabama24 has helped me with a different problem so I understand the why of his detail questioning.
I do hope this is a quick fix and Logos will attend to it right away.

Well, hope is always the best in humanity. James (NT) said it best. But Logos tends to go for 'pretty'. In this case, let the example images speak, and reduce the text to squint-size. Eliminate the text if at all possible.
It makes for high training costs (corporate) and reluctant customers (apps).
But we can hope!

Denise. Why are you so cynical? I’m sure Faithlife haven’t deliberately reduced the size of the font to make more training necessary. it surprises me that you use the software as you are always so negative about it.

Hi again Bev. Try taking your font size up one notch and see if that helps!

Thank you Anthony for your suggestion. Do I understand you to mean there is a Setting to increase the font on the pop-up highlighting box? If so, guide me step by step where that Setting is.
If you mean the font size in Settings that will increase the font size on the main screen, then No that does not change the font size of the highlighting pop-up box.
I do hope Logos/FaithLife will bring back the larger font size previously in pop-up box.

No, Anthony, it doesn't surprise you. Tools from Home Depot, the car you bought, and the mate you may have married. None are perfect; all have predictable flaws. "Men!" (or "women!", if you prefer). Cynicism isn't a requirement.
Having managed systems people (as many on the forum), younger ones tend try to impress each other, vs impress the target customer. The Logos CEO admits to an older customer-base (pastors), and Bev's comments probably match the typical customer.
And I very much doubt ease of use was ever a Logos design goal, judging from their large library of how-to videos, plus their customers, when asked for improvements, said ease of use and speed.
But finally, you might read up on the human mind .... tends to remember the negative 5x the positive. Amygdala-land.

Hi Bev. Tap on three dots at top right of the screen... then on the menu that opens select View Settings..... then on the resulting pop up the first item is a slider for you to increase r decrease the size of the text.
let me know if you have further problems.

Hi Denise. Rather read my Bible. That tells me a lot more about the human mind then anything else will. After all, God created it and man still really has no real idea how it works! Lol
