Laptop Recommendations for Logos

Looking at getting a new 13-14" laptop soon. Using it for web (Firefox, Gmail etc), MS Office, Logos, and other Bible software. Want to make sure the new laptop runs Logos well.

Looking at the following brands/models. Does anyone have first-hand experience running Logos 8 on the following laptops? All configurations looking at i7 quad core / 16gb ram / 512gb ssd.

- Samsung Notebook 9 Pro 13.3"
- Dell Inspiron 13.3"
- HP Spectre X360 13.3"
- Lenovo Yoga C930 13.9"

HP Spectre X360 13.3" works wonderfully for me. Snappy. But a small screen. If you get the high res screen you may have some odd mouse-wheel scrolling behavior--jumping several lines at a time more than you expect. that is not a big deal.

I am very pleased with Logos running on my older Dell XPS-13 (7 years old now) and would replace it in a heart-beat with a new XPS-13 (as soon as it fails). The only modification was replacing the 128GB SSD with a 256GB SSD after I purchased it. I primarily use this for business (computer application development and consulting) but Logos takes a substantial portion of use and storage. Used also for leading several small-group Bible studies via connection to large flat-panel TV screens.

I had yoga c930 for few days, right now I own yoga x380 with i5 and carbon x1 with i7.

I don't recommend any of from your list due to dark displays (although I am not sure about samsung notebook 9 pro).

My advice:

The processor should be 8th gen at least. It doesn't matter much whether it is i5 or i7. Logos will work well on both. SSD is important. Focus on other things like display and keyboard if you're going to type a lot.
Take 14 inch over 13 inch. Even 14 inch is somewhat small for Logos (depends on what you do with it though)
Go for display with at least 400 nits (especially on laptops with glossy displays) and if possible above FHD resolution. I own Carbon x1 6th gen with wqhd resolution and 500 nits, and there is an obvious difference when comparen to my yoga x380 (300 nits, "only" FHD). Of course, WQHD or especially UHD/4K will drain the battery faster. FHD is alright though too.
Thinkpads have the best or one of the best keyboards.
Therefore I suggest looking into the following models: Carbon x1 HDR, Yoga x1 HDR (FHD version is good though too in 4th gen), Yoga s940 or upcoming c940, s740 or c740 (all these yogas have bright displays both in FHD and 4K); you might also look into Elitebook 1040 g5 or 850 G5/g6, they have good keybaords and up 1000 nits displays, or even thinkpad t490s/t495s. (you'll need to check the brightness of each model version, many mentioned models have bad display versions too).
