To immediately update to the current beta enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

But snapshots only populate from installation of the RC2. The old ones stay missing!
That's true. But after loading an old layout and updating it will save the snapshot. Glad this works again.
