I have the portfolio edition; and have both a PC and MacBook Pro. ESV shows up fine on my PC but is no where to be found on the Mac. Any ideas?
I have the same package and set up. I do have the ESV on my MAC. Have you tried typing in update resources in the command bar?
Keith
I have the gold scholar's and ESV is my preferred bible on my Mac. I typed ESV in my library search and it came right up.
God bless,
Karen
Jon,
In the command bar at the top of the screen type the words "Update Now" and then hit enter. I believe that will force a content update. If that does not work try this command "Update Resources". This will take much longer to do but should force a complete resource update. Try the similar "Update Now" before the "Update Resources" command. Hopefully that will save you some time. Some other members of the user forums may have other ideas as well, if those suggestions don't work.
Also, you can review this wiki link for other commands available to Logos 4.
I hope that helps, blessings!
Maybe it's a sign that the ESV is from the devil?
all about Christ,David
Don't flame me, just a little joking around.
from the devil
Devil? No. Calvinists? Maybe. Read this:

You should know better! Surely you know that ESV is an acronym for Extremely Splendid Version, just as RSV was Really Splendid Version, AV is Antique Version and NIV is Nearly Infallible Version.
[H]
... and NIV is Nearly Infallible Version
or 'Not Inspired Version' [:O]
Do tell.
I've started using ESV since I obtained Logos when it shipped for Mac. I really don't know much about it other than that, so I'm interested in some of your rationale for the comment.
I'm working to make the Greek text my preferred Bible. Hopefully, by June, I'll be done with my Hadjjiantoniou grammar.
Had no idea that my request for what I thought was a minor tech issue would spawn such doctrinal debates! Shall we move on to infant baptism, or the various arguments for pre-trib, mid-trib and post-trib?
But seriously . . . no love on ESV access on my Mac. tried forcing updates,(both ways as suggested) and nada. any other ideas?
That's why I like the NET and NASB
Nicest Ever Translation
Never Awesomer, So Bambaby (okay that was a stretch)

I am asking without checking as it's an idea that just came to me and I am getting ready to leave.
Is their a rebuild library feature?
Do you have an "ESV.logos4" in your ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/<some_user_id>/ResourceManager/Resources folder?

I am mostly a PCuser, so trying to figure this out
Opened up the MacHD, and saw a list of
Applications
Library
System
User Guides
Users
Opened up Library, and found Application Support
But. . . . noLogos4??
Under Applicationsit shows that I installed it in Dec 2009. Not true. Not installed until afew weeks ago on my Mac.
Just found the folder, and while I have ESVOT.lbsvi and ESVNT.lbsvi, i do not have a ESV.logos4 file.
After launching Logos 4 today noticed ESV.logos4 ESVOT.lbsvi and ESVNT.lbsvi among A15 resources downloaded.
Keep Smiling [:)]
fixed!
