I saw this on Pre-Pub. Has anyone watched these videos? I'm curious as if they'd be a beneficial addition to my Logos Library.

I have watched quite a few (a couple dozen?) and enjoyed many of them. All these and hundreds more are available free on Youtube. Maybe the Logos version is enhanced with study notes (like Piper's Labs). Or maybe they are something different altogether?
I am not sure why they are needed in Logos. Maybe that way they show up on FaithlifeTV? Or can be shown within the Logos environment? Are they just $39 worth of links to Youtube?
I am curious about this--also curious why this seems to be only 700+ when by Youtube numbering there appear to be 900+ available. Will FL add the new ones as they appear?
Yes I see your point Gao Lu, but if they put in your program so you don't have to be connected to the internet I would consider it. And before you say anything about storage space I personally have not used 10% of my storage. Thanks Matt

Transcripts would greatly enhance the value of product.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. A couple of tidbits:
1. It sounds like they include transcripts, so searchable transcripts may make it beneficial.
2. The videos will likely not be accessible offline by just downloading the resource itself. Generally it requires the extra step of downloading media in each media resource. By default, most media resources stream the media. I would hope the media is housed on FL's servers so it could be incorporated into Faithlife TV.
I think this would be awesome to have in Logos! I love watching his video clips. He sums up little bits of information in usually 1.5-2.5 minutes though rarely they have been a tad longer. Coming with transcripts would make searching these very easy and they are great for teaching classes... show a video and discuss it. He has a good series on Hell going at the moment. Sure you can watch them for free on youtube but to have them downloaded onto your computer and searchable in Logos would be a huge benefit... plus it is super cheap!
I hope this makes it through.

I've had my bid in for some time. Looking forwards to the transcripts.
(Just incorporating the videos without transcript into a resource would not have taken that long. Therefore, I strongly suspect, that it does include the transcripts.)
I don’t see any transcripts listed in the description of the product page. Are they really going to be included or not? Is there an official word from Faithlife confirming or denying the inclusion of transcripts?
DAL
For the price I suspect there is no transcripts, but happy to be wrong about that. I don’t see the time taken being an indication transcripts are included, just as one possible explanation among others.

I just received an email.
"We wanted to let you know that this product has been reconfigured to only include the videos and not the video transcripts. It is shipping on October 22, so if you decide you would no longer like to purchase it without the transcripts, you will have until then to cancel your pre-order, or until 30 days after to request a refund. "
Got the same email. The question has finally been answered.
I’ll keep the free version 👍😁👌
I’m going to keep it and see how it comes out. It’ll be nice to do a passage Guide and have this pop up inside verses me having to go looking for it. It’s the same with the look at the book stuff though those are out of date by now and missing the new ones
I think I'm gonna cancel. I would rather have paid $60 or $80 and have the transcripts.
Like this, maybe it's good filling material for the next apologetics library expansion.
Has it been said this will be tagged in such a way to work with passage guide, topical guide, factbook etc.?

No... just hoping I guess

I strongly agree. I really was hoping for the transcripts. I am a bit surprised (and disappointed) that they got canceled.
Not surprised at all. There was never a clear commitment to transcripts in the first place and the price is low for the number of videos if transcripts were to be included.
Agee though it would be a much better offer if they were included.

I've seen this, too. Transcripts are relevant to me, so I'm contemplating to cancel the pre-order, especially if the videos are available on the internet anyway - if they are no real part of the Logos universe, what's the incentive that makes me pay to have them there?
But it would be nice for people who are not always by internet.
I have mixed feelings on this, the incentive is I am more likely to use them in logos environment where at very least they should come up in basic search results. If they are in the internet I am likely to not go looking for them when I’m doing a topic study in Logos environment.
If too many cancel orders the whole project will be cancelled and the decision for me will be made on my behalf by others.
So while it’s disappointing about no transcript, it was never clear they were being included from the start and it will be disappointing if the product itself is canned and I don’t want to be one who makes that decision that just because transcripts are not included nobody else gets to have access to the product.
Despite the picture some people try to paint of me, my comments are often geared to thinking about how FL’s actions affect other customers and potential customers along with the picture they are painting of themselves. This is another case where customers asked for clarity on an issue and FL had not made any comment directly to the customers asking on the forum but simply at the 11th hour sent an email. Yes the email needed to be sent to all who had ordered but they also should habe responded to this post sometime ago, even if it was simply to say the answer is not yet known so they could gauge the response of customers if it turned out negative as it now has.
I don’t think FL is ever going to understand what it means to truly engage with their customers. And that’s the big disappointment in all of this IMHO.
I received the e-mail too, and I was really hoping for transcripts. I know the product has to make business sense, but it would have been much more useful for me with functional transcripts. Unfortunate.
