Exodus 21:5-6, Deut. 15:16-17

Does anyone know of a technical term used for a slave that has undergone this ritual?

Preconceptions and understandings welcome. As well as anything you can point me to in Logos, my OT resources are a bit thin. I have used the "cited by" tool and came up empty.

Believer's Bible Commentary relates this to "earmarked" and attributes to Moule a statement about "bondslave."

I have commonly perceived this as "bondservant."

Niels that is exactly the type of information that I am looking for. The next question is does anyone have any information linking the term bondslave with indentured servitude?
