BUG: Version 8.8 Removes Functionality
In the Mac version, I have lost some rather basic functionality that existed previously. I am running Mac version 10.14.6 and this is in reference to the latest update available from Logos, 8.8.0.0039. If you have identified 20 or so books, you used to be able to tab right or left using an arrow in the back at the far left or right of the window. That functionality is gone. I have over 30 volumes that I have been using for a study and now I can only see 11 of them and do not have the ability to tab to the left or the right to get to the others. This problem exists in the Bibles I have open as well as other resources as well. I am now totally dead in the water unable to finish my work or make the time frame for the service. If you have not updated yet, do not do so until this is fixed as it is, for me, a rather severe issue

You can also "mouse over" the tabs (i.e. move your cursor on top of the row of tabs), hold down the shift key with one hand, and then scroll up or down (using the scroll-wheel on your mouse) to move the tabs left or right.

But isn't Ken correct that there should be arrowheads on the ends of the tab line when there are more tabs to see? It is inside a circle on a PC.

I don't run on Mac but on the PC I still have the arrows in circles at each end of the tab bar when needed. I can see how it is a real problem if they have disappeared.
If the keyboard shortcuts can't be focused on a single pane/window that is also a serious issue. I hope a FL employee will step in soon as this may not have a workaround for the length of another beta cycle. It may require an SR.

That will work, but I would prefer to have the original functionality back of an arrow on each end of the tab line, like I had before the update this morning.

My suggestion is definitely "doable" on a Mac, since that is what I'm using. Maybe I'm not understanding what you're wanting to do....
If you have over 30 tabs open in a single frame and only 11 of them are viewable, you can scroll the entire row of tabs, either left or right, by hovering your cursor over the row of tabs (but not clicking on them), holding the shift key down on your keyboard, and scrolling up or down with the mouse scroll wheel. This will bring the other unseen tabs into view.
The process is simpler in use than in explanation. But...
...it assumes you are using a mouse.
...it may not address the problem you're having.
…even if it is a workable solution, it may continue to irritate you, since it’s not what you’ve been used to. (Which I can totally sympathize with. [:)])

Your proposed work around is not what I was saying was not doable. It does work and allows me to actually work again. I have bigger concerns now though with the developers who made some changes not being fully aware of "all" of the ramifications those changes make. If nothing more, it sounds like some additional use cases are in order and possibly talking with users a bit deeper. Hopefully the next sprint will take that into account, Thanks.

It is doable and I assume you can do so unless you hardware is very old. Every Mac I know sold for the last many years comes with some sort of device allowing you to "swipe." (i.e. "Magic Mouse" or "Magic Pad")
EDIT: I just realized that a Mac mini does not come with any input device, so it is possible you did not purchase one.
I have bigger concerns now though with the developers who made some changes not being fully aware of "all" of the ramifications those changes make.
I do not see the little icons to click to move between tabs, which is what I assume you are saying went missing. I personally never used them because they were too small to hit! I wonder why they were removed (if done so purposefully)?

Thanks for your help and clarifying. When you said two finger shuffle, I interpreted that as a tablet or some touchscreen thing. Some of my frustration from my customer service call may have been reflected as they were helpful, but not really too much so. [:)]

As a beta tester myself, this is the sort of issue that is usually identified in beta ... but some are still going to slip through. I suspect that fewer beta testers are on Mac than on PC while the development model would hope for the reverse. But we beta testers self-select. But we now have it recognized as a repeatable bug, which is what was most important.

This has been fixed in 8.8 SR-1.

Wow! Thank you, Larry Quinian, for the note on moving tabs left or right with scroll wheel on "mouse over." That's a life-saver for me! Earlier versions of Logos for Mac allowed us to hold the mouse key down on the arrow heads to scroll the tabs continuously left or right, but for half a dozen versions now the arrow heads have to be clicked repeatedly to keep scrolling. The scroll wheel trick is what I needed, Larry!
