ACKNOWLEDGED BUG: Search results incomplete esp. ANF et. al.
The degree of granularity in the tagging of the Church Fathers is inconsistent, frequently with ANF et. al. having less granularity. This is simply the result of different numbering systems without a reference mapping routine.
However, this does create a problem in the Search routine which is especially concerning given that the lesser granularity is in the product most often included in Logos Base packages and thus the one with the greatest distribution. As you can see, the volumes with the lower granularity do not appear in the search which specifies the higher granularity. This is the equivalent of looking for Mark 1:12 (a specific verse in chapter 1) and having all references to Mark 1 (the whole chapter) being omitted.
As a user, I can vouch that knowing to request both 1.3 and 1 (or 1 instead of 1.3) is beyond the pay grade of most users. With the advent of the Biblicum initiative, I suspect that more users will discover the problem and be disappointed in the Byzantine labyrinth required to simply find all occurrences of a text in one's library.
And, yes, I do understand that the milestone technically does not occur in the less granular case, but the text associated with the milestone does occur.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
