No internet, no Logos software

I own about 23,500 resources through Logos.

Will buy more as funds become available.

Had a storm where I live and it knocked out WiFi.

Would it not make a lot of sense that I should be able to still have access to Logos Bible Software without an internet signal? Never had a problem in the past.

You have it available on phones, Ipads, and even access online. Apparently though-do not have access on my computer with no internet signal. So why would I keep spending my hard earned money if I do not have access with no internet? I mean-there is a program downloaded. When I sign in, the best I can tell it pretty much says unable to sign in at this time. It did not specifically say why it just closed. It is not about ID or password.

The only thing I can see on the program itself, is giving the option to use the internet.

Hold down the control key while you start the application which will bring up a screen where you can tell it your are working offline. Yes, there are a few features that require the internet but most do not.

    David,

MJ is correct that you you should be able to get around this by holding down the Control key (windows or Command key (Mac) while opening the program and then choose the option to work offline.

However, this is a fallback.  Normally you should simply be able to use Logos offline without using this procedure.  You may have a technical problem that needs to be addressed.

While online, go to About Logos Bible Software to see if an update is available for Logos.

Once you are sure Logos is up to date, go into Airplane mode, to see if you are able to use Logos offline without using the fallback.

Another forum member complained about an issue which sounded similar... I think he was on a cruise and was unable to get Logos to open while offline. Something to keep an eye on.

As previously stated, you should be able to use Logos offline with no problems.  I travel frequently and don't use public wifi.

I'm not sure this would work for you, but could try to use the hotspot on your phone and connect online with Logos that way. This has worked for me as well.

***However, a word of caution - I wouldn't do this if Logos has a large update or resources to download.

I had the same issue and came down to an issue on Logos end. It took escalated tickets to get it resolved. This needs to be a phone call into Logos Support.

    David,

Were you able to get this solved?
