I've been with Logos since 2003 or so, and have a lot of resources. Collections is one of my most important features - I put together a sub-collection of resources (Early church fathers, Charles Spurgeon, etc) and then can search only that subset. Unfortunately, it appears that the only way to create a collection is by manual drag and drop which is very time-consuming when dealing with lots of resources.
For instance, I want to create a searchable collection of letters. I have several volumes of letters by Martin Luther, Wesley, Spurgeon, Calvin, etc, but creating a collection is proving very difficult. When I enter Start with resources matching "letters," I get over 500 hits, most of which are undesirable. If I use a more specific term, the list is narrowed down, but I miss some key resources.
Is it the case that I have to drag every single non-matching resource *individually* to the 'minus these resources' section? There needs to be a better way to bulk remove (or add!) resources. Perhaps an alt click whereby I can select several resources at once to drag to the 'minus these resources section?' As it is, the usefulness of collections is limited, because it is difficult to build them when you have many resources.
I spend quite a bit of time searching for a post on this issue before posting. I have seen this feature requested many times in the past, and am surprised it is not available yet.
