Suggestion: Navigate to a highlight in the notes system

I would like a way to point to a highlight in a resource and then jump to that particular highlight in the notes tool. This would be useful to add a comment to the highlight to turn it into a note or to see other quotations that were highlighted around the same time.

An "Edit" icon could be added to the context menu in the Highlight section to the left of the Remove Highlighting icon.

All you need to do is turn on a notes icon for the highlight.

Notes are annotations and highlights are annotations, they just have

different features of an annotation applied by default.

You can use Open Notes and Highlights to achieve that (just below the Highlight 'section').

True. But that assumes I can find the highlight in the Notes tool. That is the problem I am trying to solve.

That is helpful, Dave.

But it has a couple of limitations for me:

It opens a new instance of the Notes tool. I want to open the highlight within the notebook that contains the highlight.
It only opens the single highlight in the Notes tool. I want to see the other notes and highlights that I took in that notebook around the same time.

That clarifies your Suggestion.

The long way round is to open the tool as I suggested, apply a note icon, and then click that icon in the resource!
