scan library
I moved all my logos files to an external hard drive. I followed the instructions for scanning the folder but every time I search for something it seems to tell me to download the book. Is there a way to set the library folder destination? What am I doing wrong?

Storing Logos on an external drive is not supported. Exactly what did you do and what instructions did you follow?

The ones here but I am not sure they worked. Additionally, I tried to scan library of the external https://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive

Curious about operating system ?
Scan is not mentioned on https://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive (does mention being Unsupported and Not Recommended by Faithlife)
Scan command instructs Logos/Verbum to read folder structure for licensed resources so they can be copied into Resources folder and indexed.

Yes the scan library resource is found on another page within logos wiki

Hazarding a guess (from lack of answers to questions in this thread): suspect Resources folder junction OR link is pointing to itself instead of external hard drive location.
Edit: another hazard is space(s) in external hard drive path, which were not quoted (or escaped) during link creation. Yet another hazard is volume mount point (name) of external drive changing, which would also cause junction OR link to become incorrect (so no resource files can be found).

We really need you to provide some important information
- Mac or Windows?
- What version of Logos?
- Did you move all Logos files (the Logos folder) or just resources?
- What Logos folders can you see in their original location?
- What Logos folders can you see in their new location?
- Can you open the Logos app and see your resources in Library?
- In the Library sidebar, under Devices, how many resources are on "This Device"?
- How many resources are listed as "Not on This Device"?
