Some books unsearchable after Re-indexed whole library on Sep 15 this year
When I noticed some books were unsearchable before Sep 15 2019, I re-indexed my whole library. Yesterday I still found some books unsearchable.
While I can remove and re-download each book to restore its searchableness, I don't know how many books are unsearchable.
If I re-indexed my whole library again, I've no confidence that there won't be any books that are not searchable. Any of you have this problem after you re-index your whole library, there are still books not searchable? (To test search ability, use inline search for a common word like "god" and the result should not be zero.)
Thanks.

Greetings Gerard
This is not a problem that I recall being reported on the Forum before and if common would be a matter of great concern.
It would be helpful if you could do a couple of things to narrow this down.
1. Tell us the version of the Operating System that you are using and the version of Logos
2. Provide a few examples of particular resources that you have found unsearchable.

Hi,
Windows 10 1909. Logos 8.9.
I did a Basic search on All Text on say all my Bibsac journals for "god", "Christ" "glory" and they all yield zero result.
I rebuild index for my whole library (11k resources) 2 months ago.
I can remove and re-download a set of resources and forced re-indexing and they become searchable again.
But I don't know how many resources are unsearchable. And if I rebuild index for whole library again, is it a guarantee that this won't happen again? That's my dilemma.
Thanks.

Have you checked your drive for bad sectors? The reason I ask is it sounds more like a resource failure causing a bad index rather than the index itself failing. Mind you, that is only one of several scenarios that comes to mind - just one of the quickest to eliminate.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I'm using SSD. But I doubt it is bad sectors as many resources have the problem. Moreover, removal and re-download solves the problem for all problem resources. If it is bad sectors, some will still have problems.

Just to say that I am at a loss as to further suggestions. Somebody else may be able to indicate whether logs would help and at which point they should be gathered.
Other than that the only thing that I can suggest is to contact Faithlife when you come across the problem and let them trouble shoot for you. If you are not in the US then Skype is a low cost way of getting in contact.
