Beta 2; 8.10.0.0006; Windows 10
I tried to un-hide the following four resources with results as indicted under each:
World Fact Book 1996
- No longer on Logos.com
- I did have and use this in the past, but hid it a long time ago.
- I think I owned this.
The Zend-Avesta
- Available on Logos.com, but indicates I don’t own it
Regarding each of the above individually:
- I clicked “x” on hidden resource
- Name of resource disappeared from hidden list
- Never downloaded
- Never indexed
- Never increased the resource count in the Library
- Never showed up in the library
- Restarting Logos made no difference
Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
Listed twice in the hidden resources list. I un-hid both together as outlined below.
- Clicked “x” on both hidden resources
- Name of resources disappeared from hidden list
- Logos said it was “updating library Catalog”
- Blue icon in top-right corner of screen said Preparing library
- “updating library Catalog” disappeared from library
- Blue icon indicated Updates available
- I downloaded the updates
- Logos said it was “updating library Catalog”
- Indexing started
- Clicked Library icon - resource count incremented only by one (not two)
- The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge listed in library once
- Blue icon said two resources were downloaded:
- The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge TSK
- The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
- Clicked on each and they each opened separately
- In Library, opened “last updated > today” and “Added > Last 7 days” facets - each only showed one resource added: The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge TSK
Support Info for both:
The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (no short title)
LLS:26.0.1
2014-10-18T23:01:43Z
TSK.logos4
- Can not open this using LLS:26.0.1 in the Go box (LLS:TSK2008 does find the other resource below)
- Not listed on Logos.com
- QUESTION; How can I remove from my device if it is not listed in my library?
The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge TSK
LLS:TSK2008
2014-10-16T03:23:58Z
TSK2008.logos4
- This is the one that opens from the library
- Logos.com shows I own this
Question:
- Apparently even though I owned the World Fact Book and the The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (with no short title), they seemed to be lost while in the Hidden Resources list. How can this be if a resources once owned is always owned?
Request
- I don’t know if I ever owned “The Zend-Avesta” - since Logos.com says I didn’t own it, maybe it was a free preview resource that I put in the Hidden Resources list. It would have been nice if when it was removed from my library (after the preview period) it was also removed from the hidden resource list so I don’t think I lost something I bought.
Please confirm:
- Hidden resources are removed from the local device and from the library index, basically making the resource unknown by the Logos app (except it is in the Hidden Resources list so it can be re-added to the local device and library index).
- Resources removed from device removes the resource from the local device but it remains in the library index for reference under “cloud resources” in search results and guides.
- Question: Which would be best if I want to minimize the impact un-needed resources have on the Logos app - including index size and file storage? (I have a large library and want to help Logos run as fast/efficiently as possible.)
Thank you for your help.
