Resource ranking
I have just been told that the individual ranking of resources in the library cannot be changed. It seems to me that if we have the ability to sort resources by ranking, we should also be able to change those rankings. I don't know why this feature has not been incorporated.
Also, does anyone know, how the rank of individual resources is determined? By what criteria is a resource ranked in the library?
Thanks

They possibly meant that you cannot change the rating from the main library window rating column. However you can apply your own rating...
- Select a resource row in the library
- Open the Information panel in the library (the 'i' inside a circle at the top right)
- Click on the stars in the information panel to rate as required.
- Right click the stars to 'clear' your rating if required.
You can also apply similarly with multiple resources selected.
The individual resource ratings are a community average I have always assumed. (Hover over the stars in the information panel before you rate to see the popup)
Ignore everything I said if you mean something else by ranking.

Kevin, thank you for your reply.
However, I already know about the "star rating" that can be applied to a resource. In my original post I specifically referred to the numerical "rank" that a resource has. This appears in the the library details view. For example, when a subject or topic is entered in the search bar, all the resources that have to do with that topic are listed and one of the columns that can be used to sort is "Rank" which is a numerical value.
I am wondering how that value is assigned to a resource, and why Logos does not let the user change that value.

Does https://community.logos.com/forums/p/151754/927699.aspx#927699 help at all?

Ok sorry, I thought I might of been off a bit there [Y]
I have no idea then about that rank, I had never actually been aware of it. From a quick play with it, title and tags (both user editable) will change the position of resources for a particular search term, and probably description.
Intriguing so hopefully more info will come in this thread.
