error in product description?
I'm pretty sure this list of doctors of the Church is incorrect: https://verbum.com/products/168021/the-doctors-of-the-church
The list of 36 doctors doesn't contain Sts. Jerome, Ambrose, Augustine or Gregory, so something is awry. And I'm not sure about all of those dates either.

The list (which has only 28 doctors) seems to reflect information that is found e.g. here https://www.crossroadsinitiative.com/media/articles/doctors-of-the-catholic-church/ - it just misses the first blocks with four Western and four Eastern church fathers each who are Doctors of the Church:
- St. Ambrose, 340-397
- St. Jerome,345-420
- St. Augustine, 354-430
- St. Gregory the Great(Pope), 540-604
- St. Athanasius,295-373
- St. Basil the Great, 330-379
- St. Gregory of Nazianzus, 330-390
- St. John Chrysostom, 345-407

Good find on the website. Hopefully someone will update the product description.

I hope so, too, and have posted in the Logos.com subforum in a thread intended to alert to such errors, and in the Catholic product forum - this should get the attention of someone taking care of the description.
On the other hand I'm glad that Logos is current on all the 36 (since some where titled in recent years) and even is upfront on not having books from Gregory of Narek (seems his written memory are 95 prayers, found at http://www.stgregoryofnarek.am/ )

I'm not sure how we missed this back in June, but we were doing a review of requests of things to fix from the forums and found that we hadn't addressed this product page problem.
I'm happy to report that it is now fixed and representing the full list of the Doctors of the Church.
Thanks to all of your for taking the time to respond and point out what needed to be fixed.
The Verbum team does monitor the Catholic products forum and so I'm not sure how we missed it, but I just wanted you all to know that we do keep tabs on the forum in particular and address things quickly when we can do so.
Thanks again,
Craig

I wish that Verbum didn't get bogged down by too many collections because I would love to see collections such as these provided to the user by Verbum rather that user built.

I appreciate it. The Ben Amundgaard-requested omnibus thread for PDP problems is over in the Logos.com forum; many of the errors reported have to do with Catholic products (mostly because I've done a lot of the reporting and those are the ones I'm most likely to notice). Some of them get fixed, either right away or eventually, while some of them don't. Would you prefer that I post PDP issues related to Catholic products in this forum?
