I went to the only page I know of to apply for academic pricing. I submitted the document, but it seemed to say the page was out of date and not applicable.
Can someone from Faithlife confirm if my application went through? Thanks
Just be sure you really want it. According to the rules (the last time I looked at them), you aren't allowed to resell resources bought with the AD. In most cases, FL has waived this (to my knowledge), but they aren't required to do so.
There are a few other complications as well, revolving around mixed AD and non-AD resources and such.
Just know into what you are getting.

Actually, this isn't entirely accurate. You can sell those resources purchased with an AD, but the buyer much also be approved for an AD at the time of the transfer. This makes sense. If not, Those with an AD might make purchases (and then transfer the resources) for others who do not have AD pricing when they didn't actually qualify.
You're right though; it is a little bit of a hassle and one does need to be aware that the rules are different.
If things haven't been settled already, you can email Faithlife directly to confirm or try submitting again (preferably using a different browser). If it goes through or has gone through, you should quickly receive an email from Faithlife.
I did this last night and it went through. Thanks for the help!
You're welcome!

That's a fortunate change from when I started.
But there's still a problem. FL won't bother telling you which resources you acquired on the discount (at least, I couldn't get them to help me, and I've seen others post the same problem). So if you don't have a good record of how you bought them, you won't find out you can't sell them (except to another AD, as you said) until you hit the sale attempt (a sort of audit, I suppose).

Wow. That's a definite positive development. Thanks, Joe!
