Zombie TOC
The Table of Contents (TOC) in secondary Bibles and lexicons uses up valuable screen real estate. I keep turning them off, and then save that layout. Yet when I go back to the layout, the TOC has reappeared in one or more (usually not all) resources.
Is there a way to turn off certain TOC's that will keep them turned off?

If you have turned it off in settings the other possibility is that another copy of it is open in your layout somewhere. I know that has happened to me before so it is worth checking that too.

Thanks, Bruce.
I continue to turn off the TOC, save the layout, close the layout, close Logos. Then when I reopen the layout in a different Logos session, one or more TOCs reappears. [sigh]

That is frustrating. What happens when you don't open a saved layout but instead open those resources?

Some open with TOC visible; some don't.

Well that doesn't make sense to me and I'm not seeing the same behavior.

Okay Jack, I have another thought. Do you have other layouts with the TOC open for resources that are opening with the TOC open? I just did a test and left my LEB with the TOC open in a different layout. Then I opened up a blank layout and opened the LEB which opened with the TOC open. Then I opened up several other Bibles that didn't have open TOC and none of them opened with the TOC open.
My suggestion is to check to see if those resources are open in other layouts. Does that makes sense?

Great minds. I was already in the process of going through all my layouts to close all the TOCs. I'll get back to you with results.
Thanks for your help,

I'm optimistic that will work. [Y]

It took awhile to revise all sixty layouts. It appears to have fixed the zombie layouts.
Some parts of Logos go into "Lassie Mode," where it seems to be saying, "I'm helping you." [pant, pant] "I did that for you." [pant, pant] "Is there something else I can do for you?" [pant, pant] "I remembered what you did before, and did it again." [pant, pant]

I'm glad you got it fixed Jack. Wow, you have 60 layouts!
I don't like the behaviour of Logos with this regard. I don't mind that Logos remembers and keeps the last versions of what you did. I only wish there was a default setting to override it in examples such as yours.
