BUG: New Document Button Inoperative

The "New Document" button no longer works for me. When clicked, nothing happens (see below). Running 8.10 SR-1 and MacOS 10.14.6.

    Do you get anything of you click the dropdown arrow at the right of the button?

    If so, can you select a document from that drop-down menu?

    And apologies if that is what you were doing and I misunderstood you

    No, nothing. The button nor the arrow are responsive to clicks.
