Copying highlights to a different Bible translation
I've been using the CSB for Bible reading and study since it came out, but I am attending a church that has started using the ESV. I would like to copy over to the ESV all my highlights and notes. I know I can use visual filters and other tricks to display the highlights on the desktop version. I can't do that on the tablet. With the Corresponding Notes and Highlights feature being available the capability should be there even though there may not be a public implementation/feature available for doing it.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

The only way I can think of doing this is to manually add an anchor to the ESV for each note and highlight. But, assuming you have a lot of notes, this would be a significant task to take on.

You could try this:
Search your CSB for the highlights you want to copy. For the purpose of this post, I highlighted two passages in the CSB. One with a Yellow Highlighter Pen and another with the Solid Color Orange. Below is a screen shot of the search
Save your search as a passage list
Open your ESV
In the Visual Filters drop down, filter by the passage list you just created. This will return all of the verses or passages included in that list. Select all of the filtered results and highlight them as desired. If you want the all to be highlighted with the same color or style, select them all at once. If you are going to use multiple styles, I recommend creating one passage list in your CSB for each style or color, then filter by each list and bulk highlight them with the appropriate style or color.

Hi Fred,
Thank you for taking the time to do/write all this. It looks like in my particular situation this won't work. This might work for people who highlight entire verses but not for verses where multiple highlight styles are used.
Thank you again for your suggestion. I've learned something from you I didn't know!
