Kyle: Baker Exegetical Commentaries - Missing Tagging
Kyle.
yesterday I downloaded three newly updated BEC titles, When I checked the title on Revelation I found that the tagging had not been updated. Specifically Bauckham's title " The Climax of Prophecy: Studies on the Book of Revelation" which is heavily quoted, was not tagged. Also Ladd's commentary on Revelation is not tagged, Kiddle's, Barclay's and Sweet's commentaries re not tagged, as well as books by Hendriksen and Gundry and several others.
My concern is BEC is a top seller for Logos and a top tier title, I would expect greater care in keeping the tagging current.
Kyle, what should my expectations be concerning issues such as this?
Best,
Bobby

The three recent updates to titles in the BEC series were updated to fix a significant number of typos. There were no further updates to the titles.
I'll certainly consider the series as a candidate for doing a full update.

I'm not sure I understand your response Doc B.
It is extremely common to have focused updates on titles without updating the entire resource. This might include adding new functionality (i.e. sermon labels), pointing references in old resources to an established resource that we published for the time (we did this for--if memory serves me--TDOT), and typos.
These three titles where part of a batch of resources that had a high number of typos that we wished to address.

Kyle,
Thanks for responding, Please consider updating this series, as it appears to have a significant number of important books that are not tagged in the various voulmes. To the larger issue of keeping things more current, is it possible to have the top tier commentary series on a perpetual updating cycle, say every three years?
As it is now, it seems kind of haphazard as too who gets the love. Without making this too lengthy, There are a number of Top Tier commentary series that are in serious need of updating the tagging. I assume you are more aware of this than I am.
The Logos software is so feature rich, but my greatest frustration with my library, is missing tagging in titles where I would expect things to be more kept up to date.
Would it be possible to identify a core group of most used commentary sets, dictionaries, encyclopedias and lexicons that would be on a consistent timetable to be reviewed for tagging?
Best,
Bobby

I've already got this one in the queue for updating. And your suggestion seems like a good one. We'll take it under advisement.
