Display footnotes text in the search
Hi, I am searching Ginzbergs "Legends of the Jews". Lot of the search result are in footnotes. The search result displays only the number of the footnote and not the actual text so I have to open the footnote and search for the text. Some footnotes can be really long with a lot of text. How can I display the searched text in the search window and not just the number of the footnote?
I also can't see the searched term inside the footnote.

It will not display the footnote text in the search window, but you can hover over the number in the search and it should display the footnote without needing to open up the resource.

Mh, should Logos highlight the searched term inside the footnote? The footnotes of this book are very large. Hovering over in the search window shows only the beginning of the footnote, not the searched text. Also when opening the book in a new window nothing is highlighted.

Yep. You'll really need to mentally predict how the author does footnotes, since the software pretty much avoids dealing too much with the issue. When I'm not familiar with the author, I always have to do a subsequent Find, and then narrow it down further, since there's usually several hits.
Personally, even though Kindle isn't meant for academic, it handles footnotes better, even allowing highlighting, etc.

There's even no possibility to highlight in footnotes yourself. Somehow this got overlooked in a very early stage of defining the data structure of Logos books. Maybe an idea for the L9 wishlist (or L10....)

I voted there now, but please be aware that highlighting in footnotes is a strong part of the very prominent "improve highlighting" suggestion on uservoice: https://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-8/suggestions/3338912-improve-the-highlighting-function-bolder-color-e (just to avoid mis-gauging the user interest)

And that's why each suggestion should be for just one thing. [:)]
