Looks like expected behavior. This happened to me earlier and it just popped up again a little later, maybe it takes some time to realize what it needs to download.. keep me posted

George,
I know that it seems "automatic" appears to be the main way things work in v. 4 [:)] It would be great if after v.4 does whatever it is doing-downloading, indexing, that you get a small report, like I get from McAfee after a virus scan. It tells me how many files were scanned and other significant details.
As far as this being expected behavior, I hope that is only because this is a beta version and that this kind of behavior will not happen with the real deal. People will go nuts.

George, i downloaded Beta 2 last night and had the indexing crash twice and ask for a report to be sent - which I tried to allow - but they just hung there so I cancelled them. It did complete indexing though.

I agree with you, in fact I filed a feature request for an update management system one that reports your updates and asks you when you wish to install.

Can you get the Logos4.log before re-launching the app?

Great idea George. That way I can download and tell it to install when I have plenty of time for indexing, like over night. Not good to keep a laptop running for almost 18 hours though. The heat can work wonders on an old machine.
Hmmm. Need a modern laptop. Do we have any generous testers? [:D]

In fact I would like it to stop indexing, allow me to shut down the laptop, and when I restart, Logos remembers where it left off, rather than starting all over again.

We must focus on the issues at hand and get the program stable and optimized first before we think of implementing convience features, however I see your need and I too had wantted something like this earlier, so a feature request has been filed.
