Tom Wright book missing on Mac Logos version
I downloaded the free book by Tom Wright: Creation, Power, and Truth onto my 2019 Ipad Air and my MacBook Pro. It shows up on my Ipad all the time, but only off and on on my Mac. How do I solve this problem?

Yes, I did. I tried to do it a second time in case it 'did not work' but ended up with an empty cart. Logos gives me an empty cart when I try to download an item I already own. I might be able to find another way to download it a second time on my mac.

For clarification: Logos gives you an empty cart (on the website) when you try to [purchase] an item you already own.
I didn't ask if you had purchased the resource. I asked if you downloaded it.
The "old" system meant that every item you owned was necessarily and automatically downloaded on desktop (unless it was "hidden," and then it would be "hidden" on all devices). The "new" system allows you to select which resources download.
I am not sure what problem you are having, but it seems that you are unable to access the resource on desktop. Is that right? The part of your description which throws me is the "intermittent" part. Some questions:
- Is it possible that you have more than one Faithlife account (email address)?
- Do you have more than one computer installation? If so, is it working on one but not the other?
- How good is your internet?
- Does the issue persist when you restart the computer, verify internet connection, and start up Logos?

As I mentioned in the last email, your description was for purchasing a resource, not "downloading" it. You do not (can not!) download resources from the website. You download resources from the desktop application itself.
To download a book, go to your library. Click on the "devices" facet. Click on the "not on this device" facet (note: this facet will not appear if you have downloaded all of your resources). Right click to the right of the title of the resource you want to download. Select "download resource."
NOTE: If your system is not automatically downloading resources, it means that your settings are preventing it from doing so. Many of us have it set up so that all resources download, but only when we run the "update now" command. This may be the setting you have OR you may have it set up to only allow you to manually download the resources of your choice.

'Not on this device' is not showing on my Mac. I have the setting to download automatically. Will need to discover why 'this device' does not show. I have not had this problem before with other purchases or 'free' books. Will look again at settings.

That means that all your licenced resources have been downloaded to your Mac. The "not on this device" filter only appears if some resources you own are just in the Cloud and not been downloaded.

Thanks, Graham. That would make sense. The question then becomes why does this book appear on my ipad and not my mac? i received it as one of the 'free books' Logos offers monthly. Maybe that is not considered 'licensed'.
I'll restart my computer and see if that resets the library list.

Type "Update Resources" (without the quotes) in the command bar and see if that fixes it.

Thanks, John. That did it. Hooray!

I have 6 books showing up under "not on this device" (on my MacBook Pro)
However, all of them appear in the Library Window and if you select the book in the Library Window the Downloaded button is checked green.
Any help?

Hi Dan
Sounds strange - I would start a new thread as the reasons could be very different.
It would be good to see a screenshot showing the resources that are flagged as not on your device
