This is a very interesting database of denominational statements on various issues. And something we've needed in Logos for a long time ... this is where theology meets the ground and is where pastoral and educational staff needs to have accurate and up to date material at their fingertips.
A terrific resource.
However, I'm assuming that pastoral staff would generally prefer to rely on their own denominational website in the first instance?
If this idea were implemented, I'd love to see a much broader range of issues addressed, extending well beyond sexuality.
Also, the information in summary form would help outsiders to understand the various denominational distinctives at a glance without having to trawl through the source documents.
What an interesting commentary about post-Christian Christianity. They vote on statements not to hit women. Whew. Though, I suppose the previous criticality for slavery, was whether whipping was ok with believer-slaves. Needed to vote.
