Warfields Selected Shorter Writings
Does anyone know if Dr. Warfield's SS Writings happen to be in the Princeton Theo. Review?
Or if they're dispersed in B. B. Warfield Collection (20 vols.)?
I know we don't carry this. It would be nice but way too pricey!

I have both of those resources and did a search for "selected shorter" and that search didn't bring up any hits.
I did find this in Google Books which is about the Selected Shorter Writings. - "John Meeter collected a hundred and thirteen articles [not included in Warfield's 10 volume Oxford University Press original set published between 1927-1932]" https://books.google.ca/books/about/Selected_Shorter_Writings_of_Benjamin_B.html?id=0EcPAQAAMAAJ&redir_esc=y
Given the above I'm guessing that they are not included.

Thank-you Bruce. The Meeter books? Can you read those online or do you have to purchase them? The reason I ask is I couldn't find out how to read them. Too much money for the milkman to buy.

Hi Whyndell. I'm assuming the material in both volumes are 'only' in those and not anywhere else? Or, does Meeter footnote a lot from the Princeton Theological Review and if you have those journals, then maybe you could read his SSW?

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I went to the website that Bruce found and "The Bible and the Book of Mankind" was one of the writings listed. Then I went to www.archive.org and searched for that specific title under the "Books" tab and found this:

It would be tedious to look for each of the 113 shorter writings, but it's a start.

I did a quick search and came to Solid Ground Books.
They have the two vol works. Then I came across this paragraph which answers my original question.
This anthology of Warfield's most valuable shorter writings is being reprinted by popular demand. In these two volumes, the editor brings together over 100 articles, including, book introductions, book reviews, encyclopedia articles, sermons, and a small book "The Right of Systematic Theology". Many selections are less weighty and more practical than those in the larger sets and none of them appear in the five- or ten-volume set of Warfield's works.
The website also gives you all the writings in Meeter' two volumes.

Perfect resource to show you in an organized way Dr. Warfield's works. Great find!
