Troubleshooting a personal-book building problem.
When compiling one of my personal books, the outline numbering that exists in the Word docx file is disappearing on the build (in Logos, not the Word doc itself). The log file presents no errors or warnings. The outline numbering used to present correctly, but I modified something in the Word doc when editing it, and somehow it strips (or doesn't recognize?) the outline numbering from the built book. The outline uses the standard Heading 1, Heading 2, etc. structure. The headings are associated with a multilevel list that I customized, and I also did some customizing on the headings' formatting as well. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Can you do the outline without hearing styles? Logos views heading styles as an attempt to create a table of contents. (Open the sidebar TOC and you will see what I mean)

Yes, that's certainly true. I intentionally did not upload to begin with. I was mostly looking for troubleshooting tips: i.e. what things might cause this to happen? So, I didn't want to upload the file. That said, I created an excerpt of the document that matches the screenshot above. It compiles the same way and uses the same styles definitions.

I tried this. If I remove styles altogether, the multilevel numbering did show up after a build. But without linking the list-levels to a style, I have to apply formatting individually to paragraphs throughout an approx 100-page document. That's a daunting task. Not to mention, I lose the structure.

This is a frustration that I have experienced. It is related to MS Word's Outline Numbering. Note that your document compiles without the automatic numbering. I have ceased using that feature of Word, and manually inserting the outline numbers.
