BUG: Selected text region in resources auto expands when opening right click menu

I have found lately that when I select some text in my commentaries, the selected region "auto-expands" when I enter the right click menu.  This "auto expansion" does not happen when I right click and get the compact menu, rather it occurs when I click the three dot menu to open the full right click menu.  

I have included screenshots that show this behavior in two different resources.

(This screenshot shows my original selection...the compact right click menu was on the screen when I took the screenshot, but it doesn't show up in the screenshot for some reason)

(This screenshot shows what happens to my selection when I click the three button icon on the compact menu to get the full right click menu.  As you can see, the selected text range has auto expanded to fill the entire reference entry.  This is happening in multiple resources.)
