After discussion in another thread:
I think it's a great idea to have a button on Logos.com that opens books I already own for reading in Logos. I'm referring to this button (it actually appears twice on the page, but works the same):
The problem: this button doesn't open Logos, it opens the web app - as it's a link to https://app.logos.com/books/LLS%3aGODETSTNT . This is annoying - and the reason for this is just the URL format employed.
A link like https://ref.ly/logosres/godetstnt refers to the same resource and would actually open the web app to the exact same location and URL shown above, but using the ref.ly syntax will actually open the resource in Logos (which will be opened for that reason on my Windows machine if it is not running).
Since I assume that a script was used to build those links on the product pages, I'd strongly suggest running that again but giving a ref.ly parameter, or running an update taking out https://app.logos.com/books/LLS%3a and replacing with https://ref.ly/logosres/ all over the place.
If this is not possible/not intended, I'd ask to replace the button text with "Open in Logos Web App", as that's what the user will see happening. Of course I strongly support really opening in Logos.
Thanks!
