I want to search within my kindle library from Logos. I vaguely remember being able to do that....

No. There used to be a "send to kindle" feature which allowed you to send Logos books to your kindle device to read. Amazon changed their policies to disallow that.

Unless of course you're running the Mobile App on Kindle, in which case you can read native Logos books just fine.
That isn't the same thing and brings to me a pet peeve of both Logos & Amazon... their use of nomenclature. "Send to Kindle" meant "Send to a Kindle eInk device" (or to a lesser degree, "send to the kindle app"). The "send to kindle" feature was unrelated to a Kindle FIRE device, which is what you are talking about. You can't "read native Logos books just fine" on a Kindle eInk device. (You can do so, but you must manually convert the files and import them to the device).
