What iPads give you smooth operation with the Logos app?
This question is not about the iOS version, it's about hardware. I have the most recent iOS on my iPad, but it's old with a small drive (iPad Air 2, 15GB). I clearly need to upgrade since Logos is nearly unusable on it. At church last Sunday, as an example, it froze/crashed at least 4 times. On my phone, it's perfectly smooth, on the same iOS. For the successful iPad users out there, what do you use?

Welcome to the forums!
What iPhone do you have? Knowing that, you can find an iPad with the same processor and the experience should be comparable.

iPhone 8, with 256 GB. As far as I can tell, the latest generation iPads don't even come with an A11 processor.

I currently use an iPad Air 3 with 256 gigs and more than 4,000 resources downloaded. Runs smooth as silk.

The iPad Pro comes with the A12X Bionic chip with Neural Engine. However, you don't need that. For the price, you can buy this four times over:
FWIW - That iPad is currently on sale for $280. It WAS on sale last week for $250.

I have the latest iPad Air. It runs Logos and everything else like melted butter. Very impressive.

There's no way I'm getting an iPad pro. I spend too much money on Logos. [:)]

How many GBs is your hard drive on your Air?

I use a Mini 4. It has 128gb and runs fine.

It appears I may be wrong: "This question is not about the iOS version." My problems could be related to the iOS.My iPad Air 2 is "up to date" on the "latest" iOS, which is NOT the latest iOS. Apple phases their older devices out by stopping software support. So the latest iOS you can get for my model of iPad Air is 12.4.5. If I want a newer iOS, I need to update. Thanks for letting me know what options are out there, and what's working for you.

I didn’t catch that you asked about storage size in your original post. Performance is generally unrelated to Storage size on The iPad. You only need a larger storage if you intend to download all of your resources. I do not recommend doing so, but FL has suggested that they will provide better support for doing so in the future.
