Prioritizing search results by date

Is there a way to prioritize search results by date?
For example: when searching for "Ashkelon" in my archeology collection I get over 3000 hits. How do I find the most recently published books in my library that refer to Ashkelon?

Go to Library in Details view and sort by Publication Date (or Electronic Pub Date). Select as many books as you want, then right-click and Search these resources. Change the Search box to Ashkelon or whatever.
Repeat from Library for additional results.

Took awhile to figure it out, but got it.
Thank-you!
