I am tired of the formatting problems in the Mobile App for Notes
First of all, sometimes I lose my curser completely when taking notes in this tool, It is horrible. Next, it is impossible to get the format that is consistent. Notice in my screenshot, that I could not get to type over on the left side of the note until the bottom of this note. When I copied & pasted a scripture on a bullet point, it made every line a bullet point (I had to reformat it to every verse having a bullet point) I could not get around this. Next, it is impossible to put bullet points in a list, and then go back to the numbered list.
This used to be a decent tool, but it seems to have gone downhill, I am not sure what changed, but I have not been able to take good notes for several months now and it is very frustrating.

I have given up as well. Today was the last day of trying. Missed most of the sermon fighting the app.

FL has said, in times of brutal honesty, they aren't going to put much in the way of resources into the mobile app. They support it (barely). Not much else.
Unfortunate...a solid mobile app would about double the value of the software IMO.

Where? I had the feeling (note feeling not knowledge) that the mobile had become more important to them as its use grew.

Not speaking for Doc, but Bob's comment was mobile wasn't delivering a requisite revenue (couple years back). A couple months back, the mobile guy said they were 'back' to do some more work (a release today). Sounds like FL is juggling resources.
If indeed mobile is other duties as assigned, that'd be unfortunate, visa viz 'normal' Christians.

Hi Martin,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with text formatting in your notes on mobile. Are you able to consistently reproduce the issues you're experiencing? I've tried reproducing your copy/paste issue on iPad but I'm not seeing it. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen of course-- but any more details (device, version, reproducable steps) would help us diagnose.

Faithlife is investing more in our mobile apps (headcount, resources) than ever before. Our major updates to the Library and Search are examples of the work the team is doing.
Logos Base Package owners use the mobile app just as much as the desktop apps, and many people use it more often. We invest more and more each year into improving our mobile apps, not less. While it is true that a good many of our mobile users are "freemium users", we don't limit our investment in mobile or make major resource decisions because of that.
The more people we can help with our free Bible study tools, the better.

Hi Daniel, I appreciate your response. I probably sounded a little more salty than I meant to when I posted this, I didn't mean to.
I am currently using an iPad Air 2, the iOS is 13.3.1(up to date), and the Logos mobile app is version 8.11.0 (27). I will confess that it is a beta version.
All of that being said, I do see formatting problems weekly while trying to take notes during church. I am a base package(s) owner and I use both mobile & desktop versions almost daily. TBH, I also have problems with the desktop Notes Tool, as well.

This is good news and a welcome change!

I don’t know if I’m just lucky, but I only use Logos on my iPad, or if I’m caught without it, my iPhone. I recently tried using the desktop version, but after using the mobile version there is no going back. As far as I see, the only thing I can’t do on mobile is edit sermons.
Am I the only person that doesn’t use a computer any more? I really love using a tablet!

There is lots you can only do on desktop that is not possible on mobile app. Too much to list. Mobile app is fine for reading but not much more than that. I can’t see myself ditching the use of a desktop anytime soon. I do not own a tablet, I can’t justify owning one when all it is is a smartphone with a bigger screen and I can do way less than on a computer. Each to their own I guess.

Hi Disciple II,
I think one of the reasons mobile is getting so popular is that it is truly portable. Even though they are getting lighter and thinner it is still a bit of an inconvenience carrying a laptop around all day. Also, the battery life on my iPad is three or four times longer than my laptop.
Still use my laptop a lot but the iPad really is a blessing.
Have a nice day.

There is currently a thread on the mobile beta app group that also speaks to the (what I consider) unreasonable limits of the mobile app (as of this writing).
Case in point: I have created a custom highlight style (using desktop app) and assigned that style to save all the highlights made with it into one specific notebook. My intention was to create a quick way to "bookmark" where I've left off reading in any given resource and save all my bookmarks into one notebook that could be viewed on both desktop and mobile (since Logos doesn't have a universal "bookmark" tool that already does this).
Much to my dismay, I have discovered that Logos highlights which are supposed to be auto-assigned to a notebook is a "desktop only" feature. Furthermore, if I apply the custom style while I'm in mobile, and then switch over to the desktop app, there is no retroactive assignation of the highlights to the notebook. They still float around unassigned. Then I realize that I can't even search and/or filter notes by a specific highlight style. So, unless I remember where I made those highlights (while on mobile), I'm resigned to searching through the thousands of highlights that I've already made until I find them.
For a mobile "reader" app to not have basic and easy cross-platform bookmarking capabilities boggles the mind. It is an absolute mystery to me why the mobile app was designed without a feature that allows one to mark their place in one platform and easily navigate to said place in another.

Hi Matt,
one of the problems for FL is that people use different devices for different purposes. One might be doing a study on their PC with various books open and being used. At the same time that person might use their tablet as a reader. So, they may be reading one of the books that is open on the PC. Which of the two should be bookmarked?
if you are reading a book on a device and definitely want to sync it with other devices then you need to close it (make sure it is also closed on other platforms) and then select the sync option from the menu. Then the book will open at the correct place next time you open it on any device,
Hope this helps you.
