How do I drag and drop a layout in an already opened layout?

For example:

On my left monitor I have a saved layout. My right monitor is blank.

I opened in a floating window one of my left monitor books and it populated to the right monitor. Then I tried to open a saved layout by dragging it to the right monitor but that didn't work.

I know I can do this by creating two virtual desktops, but one of these desktops needs to be online and the other the L8 program on my PC.

I suppose another way is to create a saved layout with what I'm asking about above.

Probably because a layout is defined by the main window on the left monitor. The right monitor will accommodate floating windows and books you open from Library once there is a floating window.

I thought that was already done when you tried dragging a saved layout!? You could create a "layout" in the floating window, but it will be associated with the named layout in the main window.

I sure like how Windows 10 allows multiply task views. That would be nice to have in Logos.

A quick and dirty method with serious layout limitations is to add all of the resources you want to open in a floating window on the second monitor to a favourite folder. Whenever you want to open that group of resources in a floating window then right click on the favourites folder and choose to open all resources in the folder in a floating window.

Thank-you. Good idea. Didn't actually know you could do that, but it seems that is a 'quick and dirty' method as you say. [:)]

Nevertheless, there seems to be at least a couple of way to get around this.

I'm glad it helped somewhat even though not being exactly what you are looking for, I too would like to see what you are asking about be a reality in Logos 9. This has been asked for in past years and this quick and dirty approach came up as an interim work around but it's time FL put in place a fully functional systems.
