Keyboard shortcut for browsing history in a resource
Is there a keyboard shortcut to go back (or forward) to the previous position in a book? I thought Alt+Left and Alt+Right used to work, much like a Web browser. It used to be erratic in v. 4 if you switched to another program and then back to Logos. But now it does not work at all. This is a very important for quick movement through a book. It wastes time to have to grab the mouse and point to the arrow button. Has it moved to another key or is it a bug?

What do you mean by previous position in the book? If you are looking to navigate by chapter/book/verse with the little drop-down menu:
Then using Alt+Down or Alt+Up works for that selection. Does this help?

Suppose I am looking at Romans 8:28 and then I enter John 3:16 in the reference box. If I press the back arrow I will go back to Romans 8:28. There used to be a keyboard shortcut to do this (press Alt+Left), just like in a Web browser. I use this all of the time in Logos 3.

Alt + left and right are working for me. Are you sure you have the appropriate panel selected? I'm not sure what else could cause this problem.

Very interesting. I just experimented and discovered that Alt+Left and Alt+Right work on the arrow keys that are arranged in an inverted T shape, but not on the arrow keys on the numeric keypad. Since I always use the keyboard for arrows, I never noticed this. I think it used to work from the keypad, but it got broke somewhere along the way. The Alt+Up and Alt+Down do not work on the numeric keypad either. It should be easy to fix this bug.

That' must be because you have NumLock on now and didn't have it on before. The numeric keypad will behave like a numeric keypad (i.e., type numbers) when the NumLock light is on. When NumLock is off, the Home, End, PgUp, PgDown, Up, Down, Left and Right arrows will work.
