Completely Uninstall and Reinstall Logos on a Mac
I'd like to completely start fresh with Logos on my Mac. It has gotten a bit sluggish and I think a reinstall would help. I want to do this right since I have 9,000 resources and it is time consuming to go through this whole process.
Do I need to do more than the usual Mac way of uninstalling an app? How do I get rid of all the helper files/folders? Or is a simple drag to the trash sufficient?

Dear John,
You will have to go to ~/Library/ and delete "Logos" or "Verbum" folder.
That's all! Blessings!

Depends on what is sluggish if reinstall would help. Logos Help Center (LHC) has Optimizing Logos Performance article.
Curious about Mac storage device ? Solid State Disk (SSD) noticeably improves Logos responsiveness, especially newer NVMe PCIe.
Starting fresh provides opportunity to choose which resource(s) reside on Mac (so can reduce space used by complete uninstall & reinstall). Logos Wiki => macOS Troubleshooting has Uninstalling Logos for Mac steps for getting rid of all the helper files/folders.
Another idea is enabling diagnostic logging so can look at messages in Logos.log (many messages include timing information): e.g. Collection Cache refresh using lots of complex rules was taking many minutes (so updating my Library took awhile). Logos.log file showed complex rules that took longish time. Thankful for commentary rules by Mark Barnes => Collection rules for sorting commentaries (updated for Logos 8 Base Packages) so now copy a collection rule into Library so can select resources to tag (since mytag: collection refresh is much faster than complex rule albeit new resources need tagging). Another sluggish item was visual filters since opening a resource causes all visual filter searches to be executed (ones with no results are removed from visual filter menu). Reducing visual filters improved sluggishness when opening resource.

FYI: doubt reinstall would affect sluggish notes (every highlight is a note).

Most helper files/folders are in your ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4 folder (~ is an alias for /Users/john on your Mac) so deleting Logos4 folder and emptying trash causes all downloaded resources, compiled personal books, indexes, notes, ... to be deleted. Logos Wiki => https://wiki.logos.com/macOS_Troubleshooting#Uninstalling_Logos_for_Mac has the other hidden files and folders.
Compiled personal books that have not been uploaded cannot be downloaded (either recompile them after reinstall OR copy *.lbspbb files before deleting Logos4 folder so can use scan command to copy & index them).
