Text 2 Speech Web App Suggestion
I thought I would be crafty and read one of my books from the web app. I was hoping to use my text to speech tool that I have added to my browser. Unfortunately, the web app does not allow me to do this. It would be a good feature to have.

You might want to try using https://biblia.com instead of the web app. When I go to biblia.com and open a book from my library I am able to use the read aloud function that is built into the browser (I am using Microsoft Edge under Windows 10)

Hi Blair,
Our books are displayed with a custom rendering engine, unlike how most text is displayed in the browser. Most screen-reading tools can't 'see' it as a result.
To switch to your browser's text display, you can click your profile picture, and select "Enable limited view mode". This is essentially the same as what HJ suggested (using Biblia.com), but inside the web app. Note that this is a bare-bones view of the resource, without most of the normal functionality (such as the rich context menu and customization options).

as a blind logos user, Ive found that if you put your view to limited view it works great with screen reading softwares. hope this helps.

I was wondering about having read aloud myself and searched and found this thread. This comment specifically caught me by surprise that it would be anything different than app.logos. When I opened Biblia in my Edge browser as was suggested here - I was AMAZED.HJ. van der Wal said:You might want to try using https://biblia.com instead of the web app. When I go to biblia.com and open a book from my library I am able to use the read aloud function that is built into the browser (I am using Microsoft Edge under Windows 10)
As a user that uses read aloud in my L8 desktop app nearly daily, This use in Biblia showed me what I was missing in L8. The bouncing, almost unseeable gray dot in L8 is great - but the way it is handled in Biblia is the best. highlighting the line, and then suprahighlighting the word being read was what I was hoping for in L8.
Dear Faithlife/Logos - please make L8 handle the show/read aloud work like this!
no, really - pleaaaaaaaeaeeaeaeeaeaeaease.
