Kudos for something I haven't appreciated in the past
While setting up Logos 8, I have noticed that some of the things I want it to do are already set. I began to suspect that Logos had saved my my previous preferences online. Sure enough, when I went to set up my preferences, my old preferences were all right there, already set. Which was nice, as it would have taken some time to remember and reconfigure it.
I'm not a huge fan of Logos' dependence on an internet connection. I have too many friends and colleagues (myself included from time to time) who are in locations where internet access is not feasible. However, it sure is handy when reinstalling software.
It's easy to primarily complain about issues on this site, so I figured I should give credit when I see how that thing makes life easier and better.

Yes, that feature comes in hand. Just installed Logos 8 on a new computer and had everything carry over from my old installation.
Maybe it is just my imagination, (failed to time it) but the download seems faster. I downloaded all 28 GB of resources rather than try copy from an external drive.
Mission: To serve God as He desires.

Interesting. Download and indexing went faster than I thought it would, also.
As far as using the program, I know others have said it for a long time, but I'm finding L8 to be faster in everything, from opening to use. My big hope is that it doesn't develop problems when it has to be disconnected from the internet for periods of time.

Logos is not all that dependent for ongoing use upon the internet once you download and install. it works fine without internet access. You can do your bible study perfectly fine without it. Sure some features don’t work but they don’t prohibit the usage of the software or doing bible study.
