Downloading resources (again?)

Hello, my Mac crashed last night, and I noticed when opening Logos this afternoon that it was prompting me to download all the resources again. I opened the web app and it doesn't have any of the work I have been doing this week. Fortunately, it has been mostly training, but still...

I want to know what I may have done wrong to prevent it from losing information.

Thanks!

David, it does not sound like you did anything wrong.  If your downloaded books are still present on your Mac's hard drive, Logos will find them, it will not needlessly download all of your books all over again.  It may need to do a partial download, though, to get everything that up to date and ready to use again.  Of course, if somehow your books were actually deleted, then it will be necessary to download them again.

Our web app is a great tool, but does not have all of the functionality that is available once the software is installed on a Windows or Mac computer.  That might be why it does not seem to have all of your work.  Or possibly there might be a "delayed reaction" before your notes, etc. become available.

It is quite likely that all you have to do is simply open Logos on your Mac and it will basically "Fix itself", but just let us know if you need further help.

Thanks Joe, it appears to have reverted back to the state - a couple of days roughly before installing Gold upgrade. It prompted me to download resources (18GB) which I had already done. I spent some time watching videos and getting started on my paper. I hadn't got that far into it, but was more concerned that it had happened. Thankful that I have learned a few tricks, but this put me on hold tonight while re-downloading resources!

Where would the books/resources be located physically on my Mac? I did find a Logos4 folder in App Support which I deleted.

The name is misleading, I know, but that Logos4 folder you deleted is where your books and resources are located. Don't delete it!

Yikes Levi, thanks, but I did delete it; BUT had the same installation on my mobile laptop, so I copied that folder back over to main hard drive library.

It still prompts me (again) to download resources. What causes this behavior? Should I just do a scratch installation?

Just copying it doesn't work. You need to use the command "scan" . Try reading Quick Installation onto multiple computers
