Which verses from Leviticus are quoted in the NT?
Hi all - I thought the question above would be useful as I do an overview of Leviticus - but actually I thought the question would be really useful for any book. I was just thinking about explicit quotations.
I had thought allusions would be something that would be too hard to find however Don Carson's book "Commentary of the NT use of the OT" has an Appendix with Index of Scripture in which all allusions and quotes are listed according to the OT book so he has about 200 for Leviticus which is wonderful even if we can't do anything else.
Any ideas as to how it could be searched on Logos or would it have to be found in downloadable books instead?
Thanks all!

Have you explored the interactive New Testament Use of the Old Testament (and its documentation)?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Shalom Paul!
I think the Commentary of the NT use of the OT is a very useful resource that will also show you many cross references.
The New Testament Use of the Old Testament interactive shows 94 instances where a verse from Leviticus is used in the New Testament:

Thank you both, but unfortunately, I don't think I have that resource.

The Interactive mentioned is in Logos Bronze and above - what package, if any, do you have?

I have bought Logos Silver before as well as other upgrades but have done the last 2 versions on free...

That would explain it - the Interactive was introduced as a paid option in Logos 7.

Sorry - I've just seen this part to your post.
Does the search for <lev> in the Carson & Beale commentary help

Ah ok, thanks Graham good to know. Even if I can't afford each upgrade, perhaps this is a helpful reminder that every 2-3 versions I should pay for a Bronze upgrade or something similar.
As for the Carson and Beale commentary, it has a useful section at the end where they already list out the references which is better than the search but thank you for your search idea anyhow Graham! And thank you to the rest of the community for your swift responses and helpful thoughts!

Paul have you tried using a basic searching for "lev" in cross-references and footnotes in your top bibles? I know this won't be exhaustive nor "clean" but it's something that wouldn't require a paid feature.

If you have the tool Bible Browser you can use the filters on the left to go to Intertext > Source > Leviticus. You can also then filter by Relationship to see Allusions, Citations, Quotations, etc.
Hope this helps.

This requires Logos 8 Bronze Feature Set, which Paul doesn't have.

Bronze would update both your library and your feature set. If you didn't know, the library and the feature set are each available separately. E.g., if you only wanted to upgrade features without adding new resources to your library, you could purchase a feature set by itself.
You might also want to compare the price of a Faithlife Connect subscription. You may find it more affordable to rent the features and tools, rather than buying feature set upgrades.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Bible search: {Label Intertext WHERE Corpus ~ "New Testament" AND Source ~ <Leviticus>}

A great search for this - but it does require the dataset shipped with the New Testament Use of the Old Testament Interactive so the same package constraints apply

This is the kind of request that can probably be handled by Google just as well as Logos.
