Ctrl-Alt-B with LibreOffice
Hi ya,
I typed John 1:1 in a new LO document and highlighted it and hit ctrl-alt-B which should allow be to copy text from Logos into the document. Two things are awry here :
1. The popup Copy Bible Verses, does not show the John 1:1 reference from my selection It shows whatever I have previously entered.
2. Once I type in whatever reference I want in to the search box then and hit Copy and Paste, instead of pasting into LO where I was typing, it tries to open Word and paste there. I don't have a Word license so I just get the prompt to activate etc. But point made, it's going to the wrong app.
So the questions :
a. should this work with LO in the first place ?
b. Am I doing something wrong ?
c. If a == yes and b == no then how do I log a bug ?
Thx

The Copy and Paste option has a setting to specify what app it pastes to. What is that set to?
Can you post a screenshot of the Tool?

Cool. Thanx Graham, that setting I didn't notice (Logos newbie I'm afraid). So changing that to LibreOffice Writer worked. That leaves item 1 where the reference is still not being copied.
Thx

I’ve never been aware that the Tool was supposed to work in that way - picking up the reference from an external application. Has it worked previously?
I’m not at my computer at the moment to check on my system

Ok, so I've tried this on Mac now and it's the same as Windows. So maybe it never worked this way, which is a pity but ok.
Thx
