Help w/ notes and highlighting

I've had this issue for a while now but figured I'd ask since I cannot figure out how to fix this.  See the below photo.  When I have a highlight in one resource it highlights it everywhere!  How do I keep a resource highlight only to that resource?  I've tried turning off corresponding highlights but that doesn't fix it.  A lot of these highlights come from before the L8 highlight note days so they aren't in a specific notebook.

Is there an option for only show in originating resource?

You need to turn off "Notes & Highlights (Corresponding)"

The highlights should have been automatically placed into a notebook during the migration. Have you found the source of the original highlight?

I thought that as well. Didn’t change anything. Also some resources like my study bibles didn’t offer that option.

The offending highlights all seem to be in the "no notebook" notebook

Are the notes by selection - in which case they will appear in only the originating resource - or are they by reference - in which case they will appear in all relevant resources unless you turn them off in the visual filter.

I believe they are by selection as I have never highlighted by reference... at least I don't think I have.  Almost all of my notes/highlights fall under the no notebook section and just looking at the last few notes they are all from when I highlight a chunk of text from my iPad while reading or while on my desktop and selecting the text and hitting Y.  Is there a way to double check?

Yes, look at the anchor - is it a reference or a quotation?

I think you are correct MJ though this seems a bit odd the way it shakes out.  I highlighted the title of Journal entries which must be saddled with scripture links that I cannot see as I honestly don't remember adding scripture anchors to these.  I might try deleting the anchors to see how it affects things.

It is most likely that these are the anchors that the note was built with (1st anchor) not added after the fact - remove the anchor and the note becomes invisible in the text.  Add a selection anchor and delete the reference anchor and you should have what you expect.
