Papers and books in Academia.edu
About two months ago I subscribed to Academia.edu. It costs me $99 for a year, but it is one of the best investments I have ever made. I have received hundreds of documents, books etc., and many of them are absolutely tremendous. Some of the authors are seminary professors, ministers, student dissertation papers, etc.
I'm wondering if Logos partners with Academia.edu and if I could put these into Logos some way?
Some of the authors are Ernst Wendland, Gregory Lamb, William E. Wenstrom, Jr., John Michael Wiley, Jonathan Zecherm J.A. Draper, Brian Scalise, Douglas Stuart, etc.
There are many articles on Hebrew and Greek, and many articles on poetry throughout the Bible. I've been having a feast on studying the scriptures.
I hope I can put these in Logos.
Thanks,
Susan Murphy

The first thing you will need to do is figure out what your subscription provides you. Based on the terminology you used (subscribed), it does not appear that you own anything. However, the licensing agreements vary. If you do have legal rights to the resources, you could create personal books. The process would involve converting the documents to Microsoft Word (.docx) files. If there is an easy means to convert the documents into .docx, then a simple personal book is very easy to create. To add one with more functionality will require more work on your part.

I've converted many into private PB's - ones that I do not have the right to share. Some convert quite easily ... some are difficult to get special fonts into Logos.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I'll check into this.

Most of the files are in pdf format. I'm going to try and make Personal Books.
Thanks.
