Copying highlighted text
After I have highlighted a portion of scripture in a bible or other resource, is there a way to copy selected portions of my highlighted text someplace else as a collection of notes. Such as into Word, Notability, etc so that all I have is the portions of my highlighted text that I can use as notes. Thanks, in advance.

Print/Export (CTRL+P in Windows) is the normal way. But highlights do not copy into Word, so you have to choose an XPS Document. Then you need an XPS Editor to make notes.

Thanks and sorry Dave. I should have noted that I am on a Mac. And perhaps should know what XPS means, but do not. Would you please explain. So far, the best that I have been able to do is print out the highlighted text on a color printer and then scan the document as a PDF and import into Notability. Any help/suggestions you have are welcome.
Thanks, again. . .Ron

If you are wanting the highlights (rather than simply the text under the highlights) to appear elsewhere, you don't have many options. To get formatting to appear in Word or the like, only the most basic formatting will be applied (i.e. bold, italics, underline). Those formatting choices are standard across apps. Things like highlights are largely proprietary to the various applications.

If XPS Document is not an option on Mac it is because it is a Microsoft file format for Windows. Google xps for more info.

Thank you, gentlemen for your input. I thought (hoped) I might be overlooking something, but apparently not. Really appreciate the fellowship and help offered on this forum.
Til next time,
Ron
