How to make a clean reinstall of Logos 4 ?
I have a non-working copy of Logos 4. What happened with me is following:
a) downloaded Logos 4 setup.exe - installed it
b) Indexer started and crashed, but the main interface did start, with no content - there was some status icon saying the library is being indexed. But I could not wait and exited.
c) Now the interface doesn't start at all. Each time it says it crashed and want to report to Microsoft :-) I reported it.
d) I tried reinstalling Logos (did not uninstall pre-requisites, though), but the same result (the Indexer didn't even appear).
How to make a clean uninstall of Logos 4? Which .Net version is required for Logos 4? Perhaps, some old versions of .Net are hindering the work?

Timothy, a non working install is a good result in Beta testing. Please submit your log files to Logos per the Beta Testing guidelines. This is the info they need.

Thanks for the logs, this is a language issue, I will add it to the known issues. There is an issue with the indexer not working with certain languages as it makes a request and some part of the request is in the other language. We are working to resolve this issue.

Please also post your system specs. In the mean time try this: Uninstall Logos4 and its prerequistes, wipe out your Logos4 folder at:
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4
Vista/Win7 - C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Logos4
Then switch your Control Panel-->Regional Settings Languge options to be in English, and then retry the download procedure. We should have a direct link for Beta 2 shortly, sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi George et al.
Is it possible for us to not have to redownload the big part of the install for each computer we try Logos 4 on? I'm hoping to try and get Logos 4 working under Wine, and would love not to have to do a big download again after doing it for the VMware install.Regards,
Nigel

Also if this doesn't work, it may be the case that old files are left over, to get beta 2 to work properly navigate to your
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4
Vista/Win7 - C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Logos4
Folders and go to \Users\UserManager.db and erase that file, let me know how it goes. BTW .Net 3.5 or higher is required.

The download can only be used for one computer. (The solution for installing on multiple computers will be to use the DVD version of Logos 4. We haven't produced a DVD version of Beta 2 (with its updated resources) so there is no way to easily install Beta 2 on multiple computers without downloading it multiple times.)

Any chance that the next time you make a disk, you can rip an ISO and post it here for download for those of us that want to test different install scenarios on clean machines?
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
