Serious performance decline.
For the past month, Logos has been performing poorly for me. I am a translator. I usually have six resources open: Oxford Latin Dictionary; Richard Muller, Dictionary of Latin and Greek Theological Terms; Dictionary of Latin Forms; Vulgate; Douay-Rheims Bible, and Calvin's Institutes. The Latin dictionaries are linked, and the Bibles are linked. Switching to the Oxford Latin Dictionary often causes the problem. I deleted and re-downloaded that resource, no change in performance. Installed a larger SSD because the old one was getting full; no change. 16 GB RAM. Log and system info image attached.

There is either a resource issue or an index issue. As you appear to have the latest version of the resource, try the command
reindex LLS:OXFRDLTNDCT2ED
to see if it is the latter.
Upload new logs if the problem persists.

Thank you Dave. I ran that command; it reindexed, seemed to work a bit better for a short time, but now doing the same thing. Program stops responding when switching to Oxford Latin Dictionary. 1018.Logos.log

I can only suggest you provide a screen video to illustrate the problem as I cannot replicate your layout

This is the best next step. Without witnessing the behavior it's hard to know whether it is anomalous or not. It will also make it much easier for anyone with the same resources to attempt to replicate the behavior with the steps represented on screen.
This article shows you how to use Windows' "Xbox Game Bar" to record your screen. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027180/windows-10-record-a-game-clip-with-xbox-game-bar. Alternatively, OBS (https://obsproject.com/) is a free and more robust (and more complicated) tool you can use.
I would upload the footage to a file sharing application (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, send.firefox.com), set the sharing permissions to anyone with the link, and post it here. You may also want to make sure we can only see Logos, or at least verify other sensitive information is not in the frame when recording.

I found that turning off "use internet" under program settings fixed my extreme lag. I turn it on every month or two to update resources, but otherwise leave it off.

I don't have Oxford, but do use the others which I keep in a super-sized layout and no issues.
Just reading the description (occurs when activates a tab), it sounds like Oxford .... I had another one like that, and the only solution was to de-link.
I'd insert another Latin lexicon (LS?), removing Oxford, and see what happens.

Thank you for these replies and things to try.

Thank you Denise. I don't have LS on Logos; I consult it on Logeion.uchicago.edu. I use the Oxford heavily, and I paid big bucks for it, so I hope I can get it working again. And it did work fine for at least a year, until about a month ago.

I second this advice.

Even with few tabs open on Chrome, Logos is failing to function. Something is wrong with Logos. I am curious whether a reinstall might help, and if there are instructions on how to do this efficiently.

Performance issues continue even while Google Chrome is not running.

Does it occur without Chrome and immediately after restarting Logos? What does Task Manager show for Memory and CPU? How big is your Paging File (Control Panel > System > Advanced Settings > Performance > Advanced)

I doubt that it is the software.

Does it improve performance if you close the Table of Contents pane (with the panel menu, or press Ctrl+Shift+C) in each open resource (but particularly the Oxford Latin Dictionary)?

Still dealing with this problem. Anyone know how to perform a hang dump with Logos 8?
