I cannot copy the footnotes in logos documents
Hello all
I cannot copy the footnotes in logos documents to a Word document. Can anyone give me some advice?

Shalom Philip!
If you open the Copy Bible Verses tool from the <Tools> menu you can choose different formats (Fully Formatted, One verse per line, etc.). You can choose the option "Fully Formatted with Footnotes" or create a new style.
Edit: I now see your question is about footnotes in Logos documents. Which type of document do you want to copy from?

Im not sure this solves the problem. Im more concerned with copying footnotes from logos documents to Word, rather than the footnotes of bible verses.

I'm more concerned with opening an open book in logos.

copy footnotes - yes
footnotes as text
I've only recently made changes the settings without reloading logos. No change to the problem.

Do you mean that when you copy a portion of text the associated foonotes aren't copied as well?
Or that you can't copy the footnotes on their own?

Both problems occur. I cannot even highlight the footnote text to copy the text.

This isn't currently supported.
But copying the text in the body of the resource should copy the footnote as shown below
Is it not working at all or just in specific cases?

Which specific resource is this? is it a Logos edition?

I think I see what you're asking. This is something that took me a long time to figure out too.
You cannot highlight and copy footnotes that display as part of the resource text on your screen. However, if you click the blue number for the note, it will put the footnote in a pop-up box that you can then highlight, ctrl-c, ctrl-v, as in this pic:
Let me if that is not quite clear & I'll explain more.

Hi Graham
I cannot copy the footnote to the word document, but it seems to copy ok with nota bene.

Thanks for the tip with the footnote.
The other problem still remains.
The copied text does not copy the footnote over to the word document when the footnote number in the logos document is copied.

EDIT: Actually it does work for me in Word too if I choose "Keep Formatting" or "Merge Formatting" from the paste options. My default, however, does not paste them correctly.
