I have been able to use Smart Tags with Word 2010 but when I follow the instructions I used for W 2010 with Word 2016, I cannot get it to work.  I am able under "Options" to see that "Logos Bible Software (Bible References) is shown as an "Add-in".  However, there is no place to on the Options "menu" to "check" "Enable additional Actions (i.e., "Add-ins"?) as there is when enabling Smart Tags in Word 2010.  Consequently, when I right-click on a reference in a document, the "Smart Tags" "Menu" does not appear and thus I cannot access the options (e.g., "Replace with Passage"; "Open Bible to...; etc)

Any insight as to how to be able to utilize Smart Tags in Word 2016 would be greatly appreciated."

I have solved my "problem."  Here is the solution: "In Word 2016 go to File>Options>Add-ins and make sure ‘Logos Bible Software (Bible References) is shown.  Then at the bottom of the “box” under “Manage”, click on the down arrow and click on “Actions” and then click on “Go” and then on “OK”  Then when right-clicking on a reference, click on “Additional actions” and you will see the Logos Bible Software options."

Although you answered that for yourself (well done!), I will refer others to the wiki article on Smart Tags.
